Segun Phillips

Oluwasegun "Segun" Phillips is a studio-trained Nigerian visual artist based in Ota, Ogun State, with a diploma in Fine Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University (Ile-Ife). Having formally launched his professional art career in 2010, he developed a signature painting style he calls "Woodism"a specialised visual technique derived from the African Araism movement that uses paint to replicate carved wooden textures and grains on canvas.
